Costa Rica:  Earthquakes, Volcanoes, and Birds!  Linda Zaletel, retired naturalist from Nevada

Costa Rica is a birder's paradise!  Join retired SCC naturalist Linda Zaletel for a discussion about her recent trip to Costa Rica.  You'll learn about Costa Rica's three distinct life zones from sea coast to mountain, what it's like to experience an earthquake and see a volcano.  Birders will enjoy pictures of the Resplendent, Quetzal, Oropendolas, Boat-Billed Heron, Vioter Sabrewing, and Scarlet Macaw.  Venomous snakes, crocodiles, basilisks, and tropical frogs are also exciting to see

Menu:  Baked potato bar with toppings and peach crisp.  Preregister by August 30.
