Indian Creek Greenbelt Trail: The second phase of the Indian Creek Greenbelt Trail was completed in late fall 2002. The trail begins on Lincoln Highway and continues along Indian Creek south through the 4-H grounds. The path approximately 1.5 miles in length and includes two pedestrian bridges and a 1/2 mile loop. This trail is very popular with bikers, walkers, and runners in Nevada. Indian Creek Country Club and Golf Course: Established in 1926, ICCC is Story County's oldest golf course. Located three miles south of Nevada, Iowa (63012 260th Street, 382-9070) they remain one of Iowa's "best kept secrets". Check out their web site for more information. Nevada
Community Historical Society: Visit many of our historic homes and
sites in Nevada including Evergreen Lane/Briggs Terrace, Dryer Dowell Victorian
House, and Halley Schoolhouse. The Historical Society is now offering
scheduled Murder-Mystery Dinners for special occasions. Contact the

Nevada is home to a number of unique specialty shops. Do not miss the
opportunity to visit our merchants. Eleven buildings on Main Street (6th
Street) have earned the honor of being listed on the National Historic Registry
